It appears that I was worried about nothing. It looked like cracked retainers late at night when I was finishing up. It now appears to be the flat part where the valve springs begin. These are pics from exhaust valves #2.
I'm sorry if I caused anyone trouble, but I do appreciate the post replies and the help from everyone!

phewww, had me worried.
read a while ago on billman's statement, on an ap1, ap2 retainers are better (recommended on intake side only). having exhaust side go out, i was like, what the.........

a little off topic but sometimes you just have to admire how engines work lol i sometimes when i go with friends and we just wonder how intricate an engine is and how things work under the hood lol especially when you start ripping things apart
