Default CR Serpentine Belt

Is it possible to run a CR serpentine belt for non air conditioned s2k's without physically removing the compressor?

Any benefit to doing this if your still keeping the AC compressor? I thought there were no gains made by doing this, only weight savings if you removed the actual compressor

to be honest i'm not sure, in theory I think it would rev quicker due to one less pulley to turn. though it does freewheel on the compressor i think that not having to turn it at all would make a small difference. i ordered one today, so when I put it on i'll report back.
