Default Couple Questions..

Could valves being out of spec cause my 02' with 113k miles to burn more oil than usual?
Also any recommendations on what is causing my car to smell under hard acceleration?

I am not a mechanic but I do not think out of spec valves will burn more oil.

"Out-of-spec" meaning the valve lash? Too tight may lead to incomplete seal under redline, hard acceleration, or lengthy high rev's.

Wear on the valve stem could lead to oil passing through the head into the combustion chamber.
