Default Could worn valve springs cause misfire?

Ive been trying to hunt down a cylinder 1 misfire siince my rebuild and have tested, swapped, cleaned just about every part on my s2000 with no luck. We opened up the valve cover and checked the valve springs/retainers. We measured the intake side of the valve spring and it was measure at 49.23mm. honda specifications are at 49.77mm. We then measured cylinder 3's valve spring (which isnt misfiring) and it was at 49.53mm.

Any thoughts?

My original 2001 engine misfired for about 1 second the week before I dropped a valve and destroyed the engine. I believe I had a damaged or bent valve from a money shift over rev. That was the only abnormality before the engine died.

Hummm...well ive never over-rev'd the car. The whole topend has been redone, other than valve springs, seats and keepers.
