Default Cost of repair for clutch buzz

I know its a TSB (not exactly sure what that stands for or means) so I hear you can TRY and get a Honda dealership to do the repair for free, but the car is 9 years old (2001) with 65k miles. How much is it for a service shop to do this repair? And I've tried searching for half an hour to find any kind of price, but didn't come up with anything. I'm trying to factor this cost into the price of an S2000 I'm looking at (will be my second S).

thanks

the fix is an updated friction disc. the cost will be ballpark $500 for labor, plus whatever parts you choose to replace while they're in there

what parts would you recommend replacing while they're in there? the S would only serve as a DD

i'm probably not the right person to ask that, as i'm kind of...frugal

if it were me, and this is the original clutch, i'd replace the friction disc, release bearing, and check to make sure the flywheel and pressure plate are still in good shape and leave them. i'm not even sure the old style friction discs are still sold, but make sure you buy the newest one available

It's not a real repair as nothing is broken.
It's just noise.

I actually had to do the repair. I cost me about $125 for parts (disk, some grease, and a couple of cable ties), and a couple of evenings of my time.

If you mean did someone actually pay someone else to do it for them, I cannot answer that question.

I've gotten used to the noise.

I just don't like explaining what the noise is to people unfamiliar to this TSB.
