Snap On anything is amazing. Those parts are worth their weight in gold, when you factor in how much they can be used and how much time you save, the price you pay for them seems worth it in the long run IMO, especially for professional work.

I bought the DeWalt impact 20v Max Lithium ION. Removes lug nuts and the blades from my Scags with ease. But that IR looks like a badmotherf'er.

Worked at a dealership for a while with 13 other techs, they had their favorite brands when it came to hand tools but they all agreed that snap-on was the best battery powered impact hands down. I have had mine for 3 years and have no complaints. IR makes great tools too though, I use their air impact everyday but have no experience with their battery gun yet. I believe Snap-On just redesigned their 1/2 impact too though with more power...

Its been over 4 years since I reviewed the snap on gun. I'm not sure how their latest gun stacks up.

I can tell you the difference in the I-R is pretty dramatic.

Got one from Northern Tool for $90....24V with 2 batts.Worked well for 2 yrs.With 5 cars,I use it about 2-3 times a week.

Would I be wasting my money on a mid-torque impact like the IR W5150 with only 190ft-lb max reverse torque? For comparison, the high torque IR suggested here tops out at 780ft-lb. I kinda like the idea of using the W5150 to loosely tighten things since it can go down to 25ft-lb forward torque. Applications: rusty suspension, brakes, exhausts, lugs, subframe etc bolts.
