The hoses in/on my S2000 are almost 7 years old.
Tic.... tac... tic... tac.....
The coolant WAS changed about 2 months ago.
Used the original Honda Genuine Coolant type 2 Pre-mixed BLUE
IMO Pat Goss just wants to sell stuff
Motorweek's Pat Goss says hoses should be changed every 3 yrs ...

So I went to a couple of stores, AutoZone and PepBoys and I didn't see anything that specifically said "contains no silicates" or anything.
Prestone sais their stuff mixes w/ "any antifreeze/coolent used in any make or model automoblie or light truck on the road today".
They list their ingrediants as:
ethylene gloycol (107-21-1), diethylene glycol (111-46-6), sodium 2-ethyl hexanoate (19766-89-3) and sodium neodecanoate (31548-27-3).
YIKES!
What happened to the days when it was just ethylene gloycol and water?

It has to specify "for aluminum engines only".
