Coolant Issue but i have heat..
i changed the t stat with a brand new stock thermostat.. i started the car and let it run for a little while to notice i had no heat blowing thru the vents. I then realized i must have air in the lines somewhere. I check the bottom hose and it was ice cold while the top hose was hot. I bleed the system a couple more times while adding coolant every time. I finally then got HEAT thru the vents but still the bottom hose is cold and the top is super hot.
would it most likely be pump or radiator??

my guess would be you still have a pocket of air in the cooling system that you need to get out. Did you open the bleeder valves when bleeding the system or only the radiator cap? The bleeded on the back side of the valve cover along the fire wall is a commonly missed one. Check that and report back.

was this problem there before you changed the thermostat? if not then there is most def some air in the system or the tstat is installed backwards, but i'm not sure that is possible on our cars.

the t stat cant be installed backwards, im 100 percent sure the stat is installed correctly.. the problem was there before that's why i initially changed the t stat.. im thinking its the radiator.
the water pump inst leaking anything nor is it making any wierd noises..

if you ask me, typically this means blown HG. If you bleed the system out, drove around and suddenly have new air pockets in the coolant again, typically that means HG is leaking combustion gasses into the coolant. Does the coolant overflow bottle...overflow?
You can get the HG tested at most garages, they use an emissions tester to sniff the radiator cap area. If they detect hydrocarbons, it's a blown HG.

no the overflow container isnt overflowing.nor is my coolant getting low like its leaking somewhere..alright ill talk to my friend that is a mechanic and see if his shop has the test to check the HG.. im hoping its not that since its more labor to change then the radiator
1) Take the radiator cap off have someone quickly snap the throttle and see if you get bubbles in the coolant where its flowing (inside the top of the radiator). The exhaust leaking passed the head gasket gets into your cooling system. Hence the bubbles.
2) Check you oil see if it looks like milky (like a milkshake)
3) You can check you plugs. If they look really clean like theve been washed thats a sign to. The coolant cleans the plug.
That way you dont have to pay someone to put in the analyzer.
