coolant on the garage floor
in washington its been rather hot the last week or two. I dont drive the s2k often but i did last week because it has AC.
when i pulled out of the garage i noticed that theres a (what i ballpark) to be about 1/3rd of a cup of bright green coolant sitting on the garage floor. question is, do we have a weep hole or some axillary pressure relief device in the cars cooling system? I didnt glance at the overflow tank to check, which i should have...but i didnt...to see if the tank was full to the gills or not.
I swear ive seen this before on different cars. can anyone confirm this is normal for hot das? also i presume that it will only happen once since the level of coolant will be slightly lower from now on causing less pressure in the system. thats unless it goes from hot to bloody hot overnight.

Most water pumps are designed with a weep hole. The sole purpose of the weep hole is to indicate a failure of the WP shaft seal. Just to be sure, get a cooling system pressure tester and apply 15psi to the radiator cap. Search for leaks. Or, just slap on a new WP and hope it fixes it.
