Coolant bypass of IAC valve and throttle body.
I did the coolant bypass of the IAC valve and throttle body mod to keep intake temps cool. I did the same thing in my old Prelude and once it got cold outside, the idle went crazy reving up and down from 1K to 3K.
However, on my S, the idle seems perfectly fine even when it's -20 deg C outside. I've left the bypass in place all winter long with no apparent ill effect. Anyone know if this is doing the engine any harm?

The only thing I can think of is the speed it warms up and the time it uses the IAC valve to bypass throttle plate. I honestly dont think it will do any harm to the motor. The only thing I can think of is that some cars do have a timer on the coolant temp sensor. Basically if it does not warm up fast enough it will throw a code. I dont know if the s2000 will do this, but I have seen other Hondas do it.
