Consistently off alignment
#11
I've never had it happen. I don't really spin it often though and not sure I've spun it at all over the last year, maybe two. Definitely had 10+ spins over the years and never had an alignment go out because of it.

It happens if the subframe or rack is able to shift
Its less common for alignment adjusters to spin due to just a simple spin out

A straight steering wheel is in the eye of the beholder (person doing alignment)
The alignment machine can’t see the wheel angle. Only a road test can check and fine tune the steering wheel angle.
This is all on the alignment guy. There is nothing wrong with the car.

Or possibly the eye of the OP, since multiple people have aligned the car with the same result.
However, he says it keeps shifting after things like spin-outs. I don't think anything has been checked....so...still one of life's great mysteries

This seemed too obvious to mention, but... crowned roads or crosswinds on the highway mean the steering wheel may not be pointed straight when the car is going straight.

Some additional adjustment might be required.

I'm a perfectionist when it comes to straight steering wheels. An important thing to know is not every tire on the planet is exactly the same and as they wear, things can change. Swapping a tire from left to right can change your steering wheel clock, from small changes to the steel inside the tire or just rubber missing.
The alignment person should know this and adjust as necessary. You may need to change steering clock during the life of the tire. I made a cool tool that takes all the stress out of adjustments done on the ground:
