i had a k&n intake and it just sucked up heat from the engine, i sold it and not im running a gutted airbox and wow i really feel the difference in throttle response and mid range power nothing crazy but i feel the difference. my next mod is a snorkel and a passwordjdm carbon fiber airbox lid

I have a snorkel w/ a K&N and the gutted air box and there is a noticble difference. Nothing to write home about but the butt dyno feels a nicer pull in the mid-range to top end. When its super hot out w/ humidity and you try to get on it, it kind of falls flat on its face for a second and then picks up. On a colder, crisp day...VTEC changeover sounds amazing.
