Default comptech supercharger 1/4 miles time

I was reading car and driver and they tested comptech's s2000 with the sc, ac, and header and exhaust and it's best time was a 13.45. I also read the one with the votech one and its best was 13.8. for all that money is that the best it will do??? Anyone have a comptech kit on an otherwise stock car and know what it can do.

What mile an hour did the comptech supercharged s2k run at? The supercharger really shines above speeds of 60, just like a stock s2k which is better from racing 60+ to whatever.

I've been told by a fellow member he hit 12.9 at 109mph with Comptech w/ aftercooler. He also has 4.57 gears

Thats right, I did a 13.5 with bald tires. Im gonna try again now that I have a little more boost and new tires. MPH is the big difference. I did a 107. Stocks barely 100.

Ive never heard of a stock S doing 13.5's.

I did 13.7 on poorly prep track with 18" street tyres, full audio gears and work equipments and 1/2-2/3 tank of petrol with the stock vortech.

Could have done better with some preparation and TRACTION

Before I SC'd my car I had major doubts--how can an extra 100 hp not provide any significant difference in 1/4 mile times? The numbers may reflect what happens in the quarter, but it just goes to show you how deceptive 1/4 mile times are in quantifying performance. A SC'd S2000 will demolish a stock one on the street or on a road course.

The 1/4's all about a good launch S/Ced or not. From a roll the S/C car can put a few car lengths on a non S/C.
