the comptech and the vortech are pretty much the same.. they both use the paxton blower..... and paxton owns vortech..... it's all about preference and looks......

ps.. the comptech has that nice carbon fiber intake cover/box..

Vortech actually owns Paxton. They bought them a few years back, but they still keep the products separate. The Vortech kit uses a Vortech V-2 SQ SC-Trim blower and the Comptech uses a Paxton Novi 1000.

It is not about preferences and looks at all. The Vortech also uses a Split Second box to control timing relative to boost and runs slightly higher pressure. The Comptech has the benefit of easier install.

Close, but still no cigar. The Comptech has a fibreglass box with a CF lid. And although it is pretty nice it would be nicer if it fit better.

Perhaps you should do a bit more research before posting here.

14,000 miles Not one prob.

Except for blowing the Tranny to little bits and turning the rear end to soup.

i'm also thinking about getting this setup soon. Has anyone noticed the added benefit for buying the Aftercooler mod for the SC? Differences between standard setup vs with aftercooler

Using the SC without AC didn't give me any problems.

When added the AC the car started to run a bit lean at high rpms. Tuning is needed when adding the AC. With a Greddy emanage is enough to tune the engine.
