I guess I should jump on this thread as well....as I have a few questions myself.
I recently purchased a used Comptech CAI on the For Sale thread. The intake is in good condition, but I didn't recieve all the parts that come in the retail box. After reading the installation instuctions found on Comptech's web site, I think I know what I will need.
Will I be able to buy most of this at the local autoparts store or will I need to special order from Comptech?
I'm assuming I'll probably have to order the Filter Oil.
Also, can anyone tell me what size/type the 3 stainless steel screws are?
I'm sure there will be more questions to come.
Thanks for any information

Are you referring to the sir solenoid on the vacuum tank down by the steering rack? I couldn't tell how it was supposed to be installed so I used a cable tie and it holds nicely. Is there supposed to be some part down there? A bracket or spacer stube and bolt? That would make sense.
I'll see if I can get a photo of my cable tie mount. Everything else in your list is just normal auto supplies.

I'm not sure what the 'Air Solenoid Spacer' is. I just got it off the installation checklist for the intake located here:S2000 Comptech Intake Installation Instructions
I just stopped by the closest auto parts store and the salesmen mentioned that I will need to know the size of the following:
# Valve Cover Vent Hose
# 5", 26" & 22" Vacuum Lines (I'm assuming he needs the diameter)
# Coolant Bypass Line
Ugg....I guess it's best for newbie modders to buy new so they get all the pieces up front

Which filter do you think is better, the comptech or the spoon filter? Also, do these filters make that much of a difference over the stock filter? Do the comptech and spoon just slide on easily? Thanks
