I think it is too long also the plastic around the stock filter is not malleable enough to use a clamp to tighten around the Comptech tubing. Might slip off IMO.

Can you use any filter oil? I have a K&N cleaner and re-oil kit, can I use that or must I iuse the stuff from Comptech?

Foam oil generally is more viscous than gauze oil - use what they recommend because oil on sensors is a real PITA.

Work the stuff through with your hands, and then I like to blot with a few paper towels to ensure there is not to much oil on the filet - too little is better than too much, since the force of the airstream and capillary action will tend to disperse the oil evenly in a short while.

Well, I did a search and Sirusrex used the K&N without any problem, so I ended up using that. I could always order the Uni brand, clean and re-oil with that.
Road Rage, you are the go-to-man for all things oil. Nice to have you on the boards! You just aswered my follow up question, which was "Can you over oil the filter". I think I did, so I blotted some off.
Thanks!

CT = comptech i assume

yes it will but you'll have an extra CAI. The CAI that you can buy seperately is the same as the one on the kit, this is why i still didnt buy the comptech CAI cause i'l saving up for the SC
