nice post!!
I will be interested in the answers considering i might be able to order a Comptech CAI soon.
It would be nice if someone else made a CArbon fiber spark plug cover besides spoon/speed that matched the cf airbox in stead of Carbon kevlar.
Good luck with the install.

Yep, Gloves did help a lot! And I also took the time to paint the lettering on the intake reserve.

Here it is installed:

ludeslip, you won't be disappointed if you are looking for a good intake that doesn't make a lot of noise at cruise speeds but when you go WOT you will notice a nice surprise. Very Throaty!!!

paivag, i just installed this CAI myself yesterday...i would recommend slipping the hood prop rubber thingy up the prop bar so it goes over the CF airbox lid. This should help prevent vibration as the hood will contact that rubber piece and hold the assembly down some. was recommended to me by the guy i swapped with.

Cool I did notice that it was touching on the lip of the CF lid. I will move that hood prop rubber up some when I get a chance. Unfortunately it probably won't come out to play until the spring.

Here's another question for you guys. I bought a used intake with no filter. I was thinking of trying to use the Sprint Filter. Its about the same size as the OEM. Would someone mind doing a test fit with their OEM filter and let me know if it fits in the airbox? I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to spend the money for the Sprint, if it wont work.
