well that will work if the one comptech gave you is leaking, but i think the original question was about a blow off not a bypass. I think the original question was asked to see if we can get that "shooosh" sound out of the comptech charger by bolting on the blowoff valve on the cooler.

You bet you can shoosh it. You just won't get as much shoosh as the Turbos running more than twice the psi. But you can still get a BOV that will work. If you set it to relief at the same psi or just a little greater, and remove the comptech one, the S/C should work as advertised.
I'm looking for a BOV now to bolt on my Aftercooler that was mailed Weds. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been runnig UR turbo below vtec (5psi) and you can heard the pssssssssssssh, Comptech runs 6.5 psi at 8000 rpm so you should be able to heard it

The Supercharger belt slows the charger down so there is not as much sound as a Turbo that winds down with the exhaust. I can hear anything with the relief valve that is on it now and I know it has to be relieving some pressure. I think if anyone want a loud sound the trumpet type BOV would be perfect.

its the same (i think). Its just that the aftercooler provides a solid support, where the bypass is sorta freehanging on the intake box (less stable). also the aftercooler have 4bolts holes that people could use to bolt the bov on.
my 2 cents

My reason for wanting to change the current set up is to keep heated pressurized air from re-entering the intake and creating even more heat the second time through the S/C.
