Compression tested today
So today i was in harbor freight and decided to purchase a compression tester to see if my motor is in good shape. I warmed the motor up and did the test at fully open throttle and my test read as follows:
cyl 1: 175
cyl 2: 174
cyl 3: 175
cyl 4: 176
mind you I run a lightweight small battery mounted in the trunk so the motor does not turn over all that fast. The motor does not consume any oil and runs without any misfires. From what i have seen these number seem to be low. Do i have anything to worry about or is my issue that the car does not crank fast enough or the test equipment is low quality? All of the numbers are very similar from cylinder to cylinder.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated

Consistent numbers are more important than the total range. With numbers that solid I would guess the fault is in the tester. You could try to compare to another one (borrow one from a friend or rent one from a parts store). I wouldn't sweat it.

Try using a different gauge. It shouldn't have anything to do with the battery; as long as you keep turning the motor until the gauge stops increasing, there's nothing electrical that should affect the readout.
