I am bringing the car to another place for compression and leakdown today. I am hoping the previous guy did not do the proper compress test, or I am worried for forking out for a longblock (3-3.5k) with install -_-

Here are some good news.
Just came back from another technician for 2nd opinion. I was glad I did that and the compression reading is 240, 245, 245, and 245.
It is higher than most motors as the tech suggested the previous owner installed a thin 2-layer head gasket and may even have installed flat valves.
He also did a valve adjustment and my motor is running very smooth and strong now.

Why would one place read one number and another place read another number that is no where near your first number. Maybe get a third test so we really know what the actual number is

other tester might not have floored the go pedal when he tested it.
as for higher then normal, noone that goes turbo will riase compression on an already high compression motor. adjusting the valves def coulda helped too.

I did not know the temp when the first tech did compression on my car as I was not there, but the car was definitely on operating temp when the 2nd tech did compression on my car while I was there.
We suspected the previous owner blew the piston rings or even the valves from turbo'ing it and while fixing and replacing parts, he replaced with flat valve and thinner layers of head gasket. That leads to our conclusion of why the reading was this good.
