Default Compression results on my 100k ap1

Hello, i carried out a compression test on my ap1 today as it has 102k miles and im intrested in the condition of the engine.

Please can I have your opinions on these results please? Number one seems low... Could a valve adjustment sort this out?

Number one 235psi
Number two 240psi
Number three 245psi
Number four 240psi

Also the condition of my plugs is very bad, every one was white and flakey as if the car is running very lean! I had a evo that was so lean it was detting and the plugs looked like these.

Im not sure when or if these have ever been changed but its next on my list!

The compression looks excellent, i think theyre allowed to be within 10% of each other.
Its only 5 psi lower than your other 2, which is very good

i also did a compression test before my valve adjustment with 35k, cylinder 1 & 4 were 240 and 2 & 3 were 230. i'd say your doing just fine for having 102k

Now I'm questioning my compression check from honda. When I got the car compression checked before buying it it came back 210 in all cylinders. I know thats great but what is the normal compression for a f20 block?

probably not bang, but I'm sure your injectors could use a thorough cleaning. You do have to remove them and ship them off, but it's around $100.

One of mine at 75K was pretty clogged...it only did about 280lph rather than the standard which I think 370.

AP1 S2000 - Compression Specifications

Minimum
930 kPa (9.5 kgf/cm2, 135 psi)

Maximum variation
200 kPa (2.0 kgf/cm2, 28 psi)

Cylinder pressure is higher than normal. Plugs are at the lean side. Engine needs decarb.

What would be involved in a engine de-carb?

I have noticed that my plug on cyl 1 is whiter than the rest of them so maybe that injector is slightly clogged to? The only problem is this car is my daily driver so I cant send the injectors away

Buy a set of used injectors. Get them cleaned and swap out and sell your used ones. Problem solved.
