do a wet compression test and see if numbers improve.

I'm having the same problem ): and the shop I went to is charging me 2 grand for the head rebuild. so idk what to do. I asked them for a valve adjustment but they said it's not gonna help. I work at Acura so I get hook ups for parts and I asked them what parts I would need so I can get it all together but they said they don't even know for sure and that they would have to take apart the head to find out. I'm scared they're trying to rip me off just cause I'm a girl.

$2k for a stock rebuild seems really high. I'd look into picking up a used head in good condition before spending anything near that amount.

How many on here have seen 0% on a leakdown test ? When we would test race engines we would be happy as hell to see 2%, if we could have gotten it down to 0% I think I would have fainted. I just have never seen 0% on a leakdown test.
