Compression Advice - 230 210 230 190 - 2008 AP2

Hmm, I'm still doing research here, but if the leakdown tests show a level similar to a healthy engine, would that indicate no damage to the valves has occurred?
Would it then be safe to assume a VA would cure the low compression?
I did have my heart set on this car, but I'm about ready to let it pass.

Follow up the compression test with a full leak down. If the leak down results are poor then it will give you a much better indicator of the engine's health. If the Leak down results are good i would take a close look at the valvetrain (retainers, keepers, springs etc.)

Hell even a bad test fitting, which is terribly common, will cause readings to vary.
