Default Competition Clutch Kit Release Bearing Failure

Hi guys. I just replaced another member's clutch and found what appears to be a release bearing failure. On top of that this competition clutch buzzed like hell. The clutch kit had less than 10,000 miles...

The specific problem this car was having is that it was shuddering on engagement. Especially if you rode the clutch and let it out real slow. When I pulled the bell housing off ball bearings were falling out...

I'm just posting this thread up as a friendly reminder to
1. Use OEM release bearings at the very least!
2. Avoid inferior OEM replacement clutch kits (in this case, Competition Clutch... who seems to have a good reputation)

Attachment 173566

I replaced this broken kit with an ACT HD PP and OEM friction disc and the member could not be happier.

Interesting.

They usually fall apart at exactly 20k

Im losing count of how many times I've seen this exact failure.
