Cold weather clutch/gearbox issues

the seals wear out over time. glad to see you got it fixed and you posted back. HOORAY!

Yep, it's the seals on the cylinders. I might also add that I change the fluid in the clutch fluid reservoir every 5,000 miles or so. It keeps the shifting much smoother and prevents all the dirty fluid and sludge buildup that is common when the fluid is neglected. Good habit to be in.

Ok I will do that for now on. Should I replace both the master and slave cylinder ASAP?

NO!! Keep an eye on them but I personally wouldn't.

90% of s2k CMCs leak.

Suck out the fluid in another 1000 miles, clean out the res spotless with paper towels, fill it back up, leave 3/8" of space on top for the cap to fit.

Do it every 5000 miles thereafter. You have a 95% chance of stopping the leak.

I have only needed to replace 1 S2000 CMC in over 1100 cars.

So if I do that I can stop the leak? So what was causing the leak in the first place? The sludgy build up?

I make changing out the clutch fluid on my car a habbit at least once every season.
