cold air intake options
I recently removed my air intake cover. I really like the sound. But i am aware of the loss in power that can occur 2ndary to the hot air sucked into the engine. Can anyone recommend CAI that #1 sounds great and #2 adds a some hp. Cost is obviosly important too so dont suggest a unit that costs $899. thanks gerry

Comptech forever!!!!!!
It costs $330, but its worth every penny.
Will not be susceptible to hydrolocking like the SEM as it is farther up in the well but gets the air from outside the engine. Nice CF air box. Better quality.

gerry,
It depends on what the roads are like where you live. If you live in a place where you don't EVER get into higher water i.e. the raods don't flood with a heavy rain, then get the AEM or AEM style. 4IG makes a GREAT knock off that is just as effective and cost less. Now, if you have concerns about the roads, that extra coupld of HP wont matter much with a hydrolocked engine. In that case, drill out the faux vent on the passenger side and get a comptech or K&N aircharger intake.
