Default Coil tip rubber insulator stuck in plug cylinder

Just a quick question, not sure if anyone else had ran into this issue, but was just wondering what's the best way to remove the coil tip rubber insulators that's stuck in spark plug cylinder ? I ran into this problem while trying to change my plugs last night on #2 and 4 cylinders.

I tried a long screw driver with no success and actually broke off a small piece of the rubber, didn't want to mess with it anymore. Luckily the car still starts no problem after putting everything back in.

And do they have replacement insulators for sale anywhere.

Nobody? Really? I'm gonna try glue around the coil tip then. I guess this is a rare problem then.

Ive never had this issue, nor have I ever heard of someone with this issue . I would try pulling it out with a long needle nose pliers. Give it a few more days and wait for others to respond, im sure someone can help you out. Or maybe billman can chime in on this

Put JB quick weld on the coil and put it back in the hole, make sure you dont put too much that it will spill out the sides. Should pull out as one piece in 10-15 mins.

Good logic.

Basically, the rubber boot is designed to have higher total frictional force at the ignition coil end as opposed to the spark plug end. I'm not sure JB Kwik is really the best option but it is certainly the nuclear option.

Remember, adhesives hold most cars together. Use them!

Adhesives hold the frame of your car if it's exotic and super expensive, like an Aston Martin, us plebs get stuck with spot welds.

Sounds like the car had loose plugs, what do the coil packs look like?
