Correct. Unfortunately, removing just the valve cover won't help.

i didnt say it didnt have coils, i said it doesnt have a coil pack

we have a cop type ignition system cop stands for coil on plug

a coil pack is usually 4,6,or 8 coils mounted to a plate all packed togeather then you have your spark plug wires running from the plug to the pack

that is a coil pack

It would be childish to be creative and say: The coil is packed on top of the plug and that makes it a pack

You're right HondaS

The main difference is the absense of high voltage wires.

you cant fit a deep dish socket over it and just unscrew the spark plug?
Ok, thanks. Like I said, I haven't had a need for mine to be off yet.

thanks for the pictures. I went to the store last night...and the grabby thing wont work. I have settled for an instrument that lookes like what a dentist cleans your teeth with...i think it is used for cleaning the rings off of pistons and in the piston chamber....andway I am going to put ducktape on the ends of two of these prongs and pull the rubber seal, which is like an upside down bottle cap, out of the coil tube from the top of the engine

.......I will update with my success, and at that time I will have more questions, because If I successfully remove the upside down bottle cap without breaking it, I will be able to snap it back onto the coil tube........but there is some type of mysterious Glue, not petroleum jelly, or grease, or anything like that...it is a hard glue that holds the seal, or upsidedown bottle cap, to the coil tube. The dealership, and anyone else I have spoken two does not know what I am talking about...and when ordering the new "coil pack" it comes in two parts, the seal(bottlecapthing) and the coil tube itself......the glue is white and it goes around the top of the seal where it connects to the coil tube
