Code: P2138 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
Having this weird hesitation issue under load and when i scanned the car im getting a P2138 Pedal Position Sensor. Im assuming it has something to do with the pedal/cable that connects to the black box on the drivers side fender. This is the first time i've come across this issue.
Car is an 08 S2000 CR.
Will ordering this part fix my issue? Anybody else encounter the same thing?

I've replaced the same sensor on other Honda's (Ridgelines and Pilots) and it has cured the problem. You can try the cleaning method as suggested to see if it fixed it. I'm a bit too anal so I would personally still replace it.

It's a common issue with DBW cars. The APPS supposedly gets dirty and you'll get hesitation/bucking with small throttle inputs. I replaced my whole APPS assembly and it fixed the issue for me. The part# is linked in the first post of this thread.

Honda only sells the whole apps assembly. Not cheap. But definitely the best solution.
For a more economical solution, you can buy just the sensor as an aftermarket part. It will require some experimentation to get sensor alignment correct. Its documented here.
The sensor only fix requires dremeling screwdriver slot into factory tamper resistant screws, so you can remove stock sensor. Not that difficult. The hard part is sensor alignment. But once you get it right, it works fine.
