code P0141
Is P0141 O2 bank1 sensor2 locate after cat. or before cat? I think it is after cat and i just need a confirm. My S is SC and i had a drift event and burned the O2 sensor.
Is there any good after cat O2 simulator in the market? I think i will burn out the sensor eventually!
Thanks!

The secondary O2 sensor is in the cat. The P0141 is for a heater failure, none of the 02sims have a heater simulator built in, they have you leave a working 02 in the pipe.
There are a few possibilities for that have caused this:
The O2 heater died, the 02 needs to be replaced.
The convertor's catalyst beds have broken loose inside the convertor and smacked the 02, causing it's failure.
A 13ohm 10watt resistor wired to the 02 heater will keep the P0141 from re-coding, this with a electronic 02 sim would keep all of the 02 funtion DTC's out.
Or use a working 02 sensor in one of the "mechanical 02 simulators" which space the sensor away from the exaust gases.
There is a tread in the "Technical"section on the mechanical 02 sim.
Just know that removing the convertor may be illegal in your area, and clean air is good air.

SlowS2k,
Thanks for the reply!
Did you mean the after CAT O2 sensor heater circuit fail (not before CAT)?
I think the O2 sensor is still functioning except the heater circuit, am I correct? If that's the case, I can just bypass the heater circuit with a resistor to prevent the code from reloading. Please advise.
What is the color of the heater circuit wires? Do I need to care about the +/- side at the resistor and circuit wires?
At first, I thought the O2 sensor simulator can simulate the heater circuit, sounds like it won't!
Thanks for your help.

The secondary 02 is mounted in the convertor, not after it. The primary 02 is in the header collector.
The 02 heater is there to get the sensor up to operating temp, I don't know of anyone that has run a resistor to fool the heater and the 02 still functioning. It may still throw a CEL due to out of range 02 performance when cold.
The heater element is not polarity sensitive, But I don't have a Wiring diag. here, So I can't tell you wire color. Usually the heater wires are the same color on the sensor side, either both black, or both white. Just see whay the other wire color's are on the other side of the 02's connector.
