CMC Reservoir removal?
How does one remove the Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir?
took mine off today to replace it with the OMNI-Power Quicklutch etc, but it doesnt have a replacement reservoir.
the OEM one is off of the car and in a vice. how do i got about getting the reservoir off it?
tried pulling twisting it, no luck. next guess is heat gun to help soften it up but im affraid that may cause it to expand maybe permanently. Or use a pry bar of some sort to try wedge it out but im affraid i might damage the sealing surface of the plastic or worse crack it.
thoughts?

In case anyone else wants to know.
I was able to remove it by very mild heat, using a heat gun aimed it at the lwer end of the plastic resovoir and it loosened within a minute no need to make the plastic too hot, just warm still easy to touch by hand. After that i was able pull it off by twisting and pulling.
put it on the OMNI CMC and as it started to cool the reservoir got tighter onto the new CMC while i was putting it on.

Just curious why you wanted to go for a 'short travel' clutch pedal?

I had one on my EG and got used to the heavier feel and kind of liked it.
then got my S2k about a year back after a few months noticed a leak in the CMC so thought i might as well get another OMNI unit.
now im used to the stock feel but the leak hasnt improved LOL. also looking to gain more clutch disengagement so i have put the stock yoke pin (rod) on the OMNI unit to make it a little longer so that I am more confident that i wont crunch gears while changing faster.
So overall, remove leak get better clutch disengagement.
