Default CMC dust boot

A buddy of mine happened to stumble upon an OEM Honda part number for a dust boot that fits our CMCs. I ordered one up to try it out and lo and behold it fits. I've seen other OEM Honda CMCs supplied with dust boots, such as the EP3(?). What's strange to me is the S2000 CMC has a machined lip on it like it was meant to have one, but it isn't furnished with one.

I'm not really going to say this adds any benefit whatsoever, so I won't argue it's usefulness. It just makes the CMC "complete" as far as I'm concerned. Just thought I'd share.

Nice find, but I like to inspect that CMC seal every few months to see if it's seeping/leaking. Not sure if the dust boot would mask or delay finding a leak??
