Clutch won't engage and VSA light is on
Hello Everybody,
I took on a long term project that is way over my head where I had to rebuild the short block. Now, I put everything back together and now the clutch will not engage. Well the clutch will engage a little bit at the top, just enough where the car can sort of crawl.
Could it be that I did not have an alignment tool when I put the transmission back on the engine? Could it be a clutch fork or slave cylinder issue? When I push down on the clutch, i notice that the fork does not move.
In addition my VSA light is on. I have no idea why. I've been working on this car for 9 months now, and I feel that 99% there...
Please help.

Alignment tool is used so you can install the trans. So thats not it.
Your post does not make sense.
If you push on the clutch and the fork doesnt move, them how can the car crawl with the clutch all the way out.

Throwout bearing goes behind the pressure plate.
Make sure the fork is sitting in the opening in the trans when you put the trans in.
One the trans is 90% flush with the engine, engage the fork into the bearing. Tightening the bolts with the fork not engageed can cause the fork to jam and possibly crack the transmission.
