Default clutch slipping? or transmission going out?

Hey guys,
I have 2003 with 110,000 miles. Just recently i have noticed when changing gears for example if i am speeding through the rpms and if i change from 2nd gear to 3rd gear once i have the gas pedal pressed the rpms dont move and stay steady and make a revving type of noise. This only occurs sometimes when i am speeding and changing up to the next higher gear. When casually driving shifting is a bit clunky and grindy mostly when the transmission hasnt fully warmed up. I had the car for about 27 months with 93,000 miles on it when i bought it. what could the problem be? i havent performed any clutch or transmission jobs on my car as of yet...only clutch master cylinder. I swap in new clutch and tranny fluid about every 6000 miles. any help would be appreciated. thank you in advance.

Check your clutch rod adjustment length. Also ensure you have fully depressed the clutch pedal before you touch your gear lever

Make sure your clutch master has some play in the pushrod. If there is any pressure on the pushrod the clutch can slip when the fluid gets hot.

Also if the clutch was slipping the rpms would def go up but the car would not accelerate. Check pushrod as stated above and report back.

The pushrod on the clutch master cylinder is good...their is good amount of free play on it...i am still uncertain what the problem is and will look around and find info on what the problem could be as much as i can when i have the time between school and work...besides that problem the car runs real healthy daily...thanks for the help guys and more helpful info is appreciated.

I have read this post several times and can't understand exactly what you are trying to say : "i change from 2nd gear to 3rd gear once i have the gas pedal pressed the rpms dont move and stay steady and make a revving type of noise."
Do you mean, after you upshift and mash the gas pedal....
A = the car revs up but your speed doesn't increase
B = nothing happens (no change in sound or speed)
C = the car makes a bogging noise and doesn't accelerate smoothly
Please clarify

The answer is B. nothing happens when i upshift and mash the gas pedal...for example if i upshift and it lies on 6000 rpms and mash the gas pedal the rpms would stay steady at 6000 rpms and also the speed maintains steady as well...

The only free play should be in the CMC, the push rod should have zero free play.

my car is having the slipping clutch issue with the revs rising when mashing the pedal but barely accelerates...looks like that solves what the problem i have been having...
