Clutch Slipping? Need Help!
As of today, I've noticed my car(MYA 00') bogging and having trouble. When I shift a bit hard into gear, it revvs up, nearly to the redline at times, and then drops back down to grab the gear. I noticed odd symptoms early this month and thought it was a bad spark. Now, I see that it's something bigger. I'm guessing the clutch might be slipping, but some times I'll be in gear for a good 10 seconds before it begins to bog again. Any input is greatly appreciated!

when a clutch slips, it's like if you're driving in gear then all of a sudden your rpms climb and go back down when the clutch finally grabs. in that case, you need a new clutch...
bogging? i would define more as when you give it gas and the engine hesitates without any rmp increase. in that scenario, it could be a number of things.
but yours sounds like if you new a new clutch.

Thanks, I expected to get one by now anyways. It was slipping at the track. Yes, by bogging I mean it would shake and hesitate the first 10 seconds of being in gear. I did a dyno and I only had 183 whp and 133trq. It might be time for a rebuild too. I just have basic bolt-ons.

UPDATE: I was told to take it to fourth gear at 30 mph and floor it. Sure enough, the car doesn't move hardly, it just begins to rev high. I've come to the conclusion it's time for a new clutch.
