maybe I should do this then. I intentionally don't rush my redline shifts at all but still notice what is perhaps a split second of slippage upon engaging the throttle in the next gear.

I just got a 04 with about 7000 miles on the clock. I noticed the effect of the CDV immediately (in every gear). I removed the CDV and experience no perceivable clutch slip on redline fast shifts. The only thing slipping is the tires (1-2, and 2-3 shits).
OP just save up and get the ACT suite. PP, FW, Cltuch. Its a world of difference, and if you arent shifting quick then you arent winning the race.
