maybe I should do this then. I intentionally don't rush my redline shifts at all but still notice what is perhaps a split second of slippage upon engaging the throttle in the next gear.

OP just save up and get the ACT suite. PP, FW, Cltuch. Its a world of difference, and if you arent shifting quick then you arent winning the race.
