Clutch slippage issue--need advice
New to s2k.
I have 2001 s2k (ap1) and has brand new clutch yet slip at hi-rpm.
Searching for an answer, I found this thread.

It's all about a slave clutch delay valve (i guess nothing new to everyone). My clutch slave is the old one in the picture. According to the write-up, there is no delay valve on those slave cylinder only in 04.
So, any idea why the brand new clutch momentarily slipping only at hi-rpm?
Standing start, I don't have slippage.
Any thoughts how to cure this issue?
Thanks

I get it every now and then when the clutch is cold, I've got an 00 with about 100k on stock clutch. I've had this issue since ~40k and it seems to be a warm up thing on mine. You could try bleeding the clutch to see if that improves anything.

When exactly does it slip? Hard upshifts once you're moving? How are you shifting? (Not flat shifting/power shifting I hope)
I can't think of a reason it would slip under up shifts, but not standing starts.
Sorry, not exactly a useful response. Hopefully others can chime in.

The clutch pedal adjusted properly, I never beat up the clutch when new so the breakin should be good and proper.
The clutch will not slip in standing start even in hard acceleration.
However, in the hi-way when I hit 8,000 to 9,000rpm, I notice a slip momentarily and then it will catch again and run normal.

Did you replace your original flywheel/pressure plate too, or just the clutch disc? Sounds like a classic case of a worn/inefficient pp - inertial friction is only an issue at high rpm. How many miles on the old clutch, and how bad was it before you changed it?
