clutch slave
I had the clutch slave replaced and something came to mind.....
I have a 2003, while searching the forums, I found that there is a difference from the 2003 to the newer design of the part. clutch delay ???
I guess that the replacement part would be of the new design...or would it?
I couln't get a look to see what colot the new part is.
any thoughts.
thanks...BTW, I'm and old guy with a fun car

I believe the 03 and before part ( call it pre-03 ) differs from the post 03, and that the pre-o3 part is preferred because of its lack of that safety-at-the-expense-of-performence delay valve. Also, the pre-03 needs grinding to fit on 04+ cars, I THINK.

The rest is right on. Many 04+ owners have disabled the delay valve and can't be happier.

thanks for the replies. I guess that the dealer (replaced under warranty) would replace it with the correct part. they had to ship it overnight to the store and I had the car the next day.
the clutch feels the same.
thanks again.
