Clutch replacement recommendations?
Anyone recommend a clutch for mild to moderate driving with a stock drivetrain. No track just mischief here and there. Maybe stock quality or slightly better?
Anyone?
thx!

OEM disc with ACT HD pressure plate, better holding from the PP and stock quality with the OEM disc.
Lots of AP2 guys do that setup with your AP1 flywheel and love the results, mines being installed in a couple weeks. Can't wait.

I highly recommend the Hardtopguy kit. I've bought a lot of my parts from Hardtopguy (Jeff) and he is well known on these boards. It is the OEM friction disc with an ACT pressure plate and you have the option of going with a lighter flyhweel.
Honestly, with mine it is perfect. The ACT pressure plate gives much better grip from all N/A applications and even some mild boost applications. This is perfect for your application. It is still very streetable for day to day driving while still giving better grip for some fun drives every now and then.
It gives stock reliability by not adding extra stress on the drivetrain by going with a big heavy duty clutch system. With all the diff threads we have out there the last thing we need is people buying stronger clutch systems than they need and adding more stress down the line from the clutch.
I really recommend you take a look and give Jeff a call, he's always taken great care of me and a lot of other guys on s2ki.

for the money you can get a spec kit for cheaper, act doesn't include the TOB/PB/ALIGNMENT tool, so if you want the act you have to source the extra 100+$ worth of tools and parts.
i'd just get a spec kit.

Personally I put together my kit which is what hardtopguy sells for about $20 cheaper but I also bought all new OEM hardware (bolts etc...).

If he's doing it himself, if not then he doesnt have to worry about that.

Very true, plus if you buy the hardtopguy kit you can get the TB and PB with it, he has always sent me everything I need and then given me support when needed setting it up.
Whatever you end up going with, make sure you post up on here and do some research first. Don't buy a cheap kit with unproven reliability. The labor is expensive on a clutch job (unless your doing it yourself, even then there is the time involved) and you want to make sure you put in a proven system. Don't go with Ebay type kits.
