Clutch Replacement Labor and Parts
#12
Thanks for all the feedback. I was a bit concerned about the cost but it sounds like the parts and labor are in the right range. I'm sure I could have found the parts cheaper myself, but as long as things are in the ballpark that was really what I needed to know for peace of mind today. It's great thing to have a community to be able to crowd source easing concerns like this.

Mine just came out to $1100 but I went with an ACT pressure plate... $1600 is a little expensive especially if that's not even with a new flywheel, sounds like a dealer price. Youre looking at $525 for oem parts and like $50 for a resurface, shouldn't be paying over $1000

Where are you located? That price is ok but if you are near Tennessee I would recommend Jordan (did mine for less than what you were quoted with OEM parts except for the PP which was ACT HD) or near NY get Billman.

Like other people said....$1600 is a little high. Also....I, like others, would highly recommend that you buy the release bearing guide, and use Honda HT Urea grease.

Most shops won't resurface the flywheel correctly. It's a stepped flywheel and needs the outer portion machined as well. In order to maintain proper pedal engagement.
Though most of time no resurfacing is even required unless has bad scoring/hot spots. Just need to scuff surface well.
