Well, my car is at the shop right now to be inspected by some honda techs. I'm getting ready for the worst and looking into the right clutch for me. I just need something that grips and is a great all around set up.

Right now, I'm thinking of:
1. Tody Flywheel
2. Mugen Pressure plate
3. Stock disk.

do i need anything else?

I am about to install my clutch, so I've been reading up on it. However, I remember someone commenting in another thread years ago (cdelena?) about putting lube on some shaft that makes clutch action smoother. I don't remember what shaft it was, but if I'm remembering correctly, the shaft doesn't come lubed from the factory. Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Somewhere in the manual it will show all the lube points. It is very important to get all the friction material cleaned up (I use Chemtool) and then the key areas are the spline the FD moves on, the release bearing guide that it slides on, and the fork pivot points.

..and the release bearing gets lube on the inside grove.

I've done mine and others a number of times. Though I have never used the honda urea grease I have found that RedLine CV2 grease works very well.

Gernby: I've dropped the tranny and changed the clutch and flywheel twice, and managed to do it all on my own. If you need help, let me know. I've also got the flywheel locking tool if you want to borrow it. Let me know. I'll be in Mexico on vacation the last two weeks of December though.

On another note, if you want to stop by this weekend you can pick up the battery hold down bracket.

Would Valvoline Semi-Senthetic Dura Blend grease be sufficient?

fperra, PM sent.

simply no, DIY clutch change is impossible unless you have a lift, and extra helpping hand. You need to drop the tranny, taking it off is the easy part, putting it back together is the hard part. You have to allign everything properly.
