Clutch project
#31
Ok I finished everything and put the car back together and I can't believe it but it works!!! Thank god for the s2ki community lmao buy anyways, my starter sounds different now, not bad, but different. Should I be worried? I'm thinking it's from the new flywheel
Congrats Kid! When i was 16, I could barely install my car stereo, nevermind a new clutch.

wow man keep up the good work. I am eventually going to tackle the clutch install myself and have been doing my fair share of research on the topic also. I have a question, when removing the upper driver side bolt (correct me if i am wrong) did you use a three foot extension or so to remove the bolt? Also I read somewhere, I believe it was billman who said lower the subframe but keep the transmission mount attached and you can remove the other upper bolt with a long handle ratcheting wrench? Sorry for the questions just trying to prepare myself for this job.

The upper driver's side bolt wasn't that hard, I unbolted the tranny mounts and lowered the subframe and I used multiple 3/8" wobble extensions along with a universal joint totaling up to probably 3' or so. It's probably easier to use multiple wobbles instead of one 3' extension. The hardest part is to keep the universal joint straight to get the socket on the the bolt but just use a little bit of electrical tape. Also when you break them free they're easy to unscrew with your fingers
