Default Clutch Problems

Hey Everyone, So over the past few months I've noticed my clutch have a bit of freeplay before it engages torwards the firewall. Well this morning my clutch went all the way to the ground and I could not put it into gear. I've read other posts regarding this issue, but i'm still a little unsure....Can this be a lack of fluid ONLY? Or is this most likely a slave/master cylinder problem? Or something else? Does anyone know a cost estimate for having any of these repaired?

Please help!!!

Thanks
-Eric

Did you check your clutch master cylinder? How full is it?

same thing happened to me, turns out my clutch fluid was low. Filled it up, bled it out, went back to normal. but my clutch was gone in the first place haha

I checked the resevoir and it looked ok...Yea....I'll have to try and bleed it first. This has happened before, and I did the "clutch pedal adjustment" and it worked for about 1-2 months...Now back at it.

Thanks for the responses

If it's not a fluid issue, it sounds like the next place to look is the slave, then the master. I know when I put an upgraded clutch in my car I didn't even get home before the slave went out. Towing = expensive.
