Clutch problem, need urgent help pls
Hi guys,
My car is 05 and it has only 11000 miles on it. I have bought it while it had 5000 miles on it, and I have been driving it ever since. The clutch was gripping a bit high and just I was about to take it to a Honda service for a checkout then suddenly it became impossible to change the gears in high rpms. For example the clutch becomes rock hard, if you try to change the gears on 6-7000 rpms. There is no problem if you change it like 2-3000 rpm.
I take it to a Honda service and after a test drive with the car, the technician told me that the clutch kit has to be replaced. So my questions are below and I will be very happy if someone can answer me quickly since I have to handle this issue asap.
1- I don`t drag race or use the car in track but I drive fast, shift in high rpms a lot, use downshifting a lot(didn`t know that it`s bad for the car if you do not revmatch) but anyway is it normal that the clutch has to be replaced with just 11000 miles????
2- Will it help if I change the tyranny fluids and such?
3- If I had to change the clutch, are clutches like Mugen, Exedy or ACT more durable than the stock clutch?
4- In my country, the price for the Mugen and the stock clutch is nearly the same, since they don`t take labor for installing Mugen which I don`t know why My car is stock by the way, is Mugen street drivable?
So if anyone here had any experiences with the problem I have stated or has any idea about this and can reply me, I would be grateful. Sorry if I have some stupid questions as I am not into mechanics too much and this is my first clutch problem.
Thanks...
