what are you basing this statement from? that ap2 clutch is not good for a ap1 car (i.e. the flywheel / pressure plate)?

i understand the flywheel is lighter in a ap1 vs ap2 what about the pressure plate? what the rational behind that/? not attacking just wondering. . .

Am having a similar problem when i accelerate the car the rpm goes like to 6 or 7k and the car slowly responds. It seems like is not grabbing. Then you can smell a bit of burnig clutch.

Im not sure if this makes any sense but if anyone has the same problem and fixed it let me know please! thanks
This doesn't sound like a transmission problem. My car would do this in parking garages where I had to keep using the clutch to go at ridiculously low speed <5mph. It was a while back so I can't remember what exactly I did but it was related to the throttle control and either too much or too little fuel going into the cylinders. Try cleaning the throttle body and all associated sensors, IACV, MAP, TPS, whatever you can get to. Do the MAP whack too. Should only take you a few minutes.
