Default Clutch Problem?

I am wondering if anyone has had this problem. My s makes a clicking metal against metal sound in first gear until I hit 15-20 miles per hour. I was told by someone that it could be my throw out bearing but I don't know. I even took it to a local mechanic and the only thing that they could tell me was that they had no experience with the car and that the noise was coming from somewhere around my transmission. I am very confused my clutch pedal is losing a little feel but the clutch has no problem engaging. Please let me know if anyone has experienced this problem. Oh ya when I first noticed the problem it was only noticable when I was taking a left turn or that was when I could hear it.

Clicking when travelling slowly taking a turn is usually indicative of a faulty CV joint regardless of the type of car. If your mechanic said he didn't know, then maybe this is not the case?

You could have a busted clutch disc spring retainer.
