Good point man. All that's left is for me to get the good news that the warranty will in fact pay for the whole job. Should know today. I feel tense lol. My only concern is their trying to get out of it by saying I replaced the clutch with an aftermarket one when in fact, I didn't. I bought the car as is. Looking forward to it paying off though!

Look what I found. OEM PP!! Still fine? Look at the poor state of that cheap clutch:

Either new from Honda, or used from someone else. I recently needed the clutch release bearing guide, didn't know I needed it until trans was out, should have just ordered it anyway. So car was down waiting for this one part, which was backordered with no date when it would be available. So I had to just call around all the Honda dealers in an ever increasing radius around my area. Finally found it, but it would have been a several hours drive. Dealer refused to ship.

So posted in that areas local forum, asking if someone would pick it up and fedex. This forum is awesome! I paid with card, and this guy who was local to dealer drove over and got it, then fedexed it to me. I gave him a little extra to cover his costs, but I definitely owe the guy a case of beers if we ever meet.

Maybe you could do the same thing...

OEM PP, still intact.

OEM Flywheel needs a reskim - a sand down just to remove impurities on the surface.

That fork clip seems to be fine? Looks sturdy to me.

Just for the next guy stumbling into this thread... The early act pp's were stiffer than needed. The current ones are perfect. No such issues anymore.

Still, they are stiffer than stock, so a lot of guys disable the clutch pedal interlock, so car can be started without touching pedal..prevents dry starts on the thrust washer. Just that little extra preventative measure. Note, easiest way to disable the interlock is an acorn nut screwed on the end of the switch, to hold the button down.

Look at the galling on the guide shaft. May want to think about replacing that too.

You better clean that spline spotless and grease it. Typical rusted spline.

Okay I'll ask the mac if he can swop it out or something. What could cause that?

Definitely. Already asked the mac to clean and grease it. He says they use copper grease? Honda stuff i presume.
What could cause the spline to get rusted? Is it true that greasing it enables smoother shifting?

Thanks for the info. How would I know if I buy an ACT that its newer than the old one with that issue?
I have a supercharger installed but should be getting a brand new OEM clutch kit installed. How well do you reckon it'll manage with the power? How good is the clamping force?
