I have an 07 AP2 and i have realised my clutch pedal is way stiffer than any of the 08 cars or type S (never managed to test another 07) to the point that i'm beginning to think that i have an aftermarket clutch plate or something installed. my friends with the other s2000s also cant understand why its so different.
yet my car is totally stock in respect of the clutch. anyone with an idea what could make the clutch pedal so much stiffer?

I had this problem recently too, and mine was caused by aging and inadequate lubrication of the throwout bearing, also the clutch fork pivot points. I used the stiff clutch as an excuse to change out my clutch (since I had to pull the tranny to get to the throwout bearing anyway.) I also installed a new throwout bearing and throwout bearing guide and this time filled the "valley" of the throwout bearing with Super High Temp Urea grease (no substitutes for me ever again...lol) Smooth clutch ever since.
