Default Clutch Master Cylinder Swap

I just swapped my original clutch master cylinder on my MY02 with 60k miles on it today. I put in a brand new Honda replacement unit, with a new braided clutch hose (SOS). The clutch and pp is fairly new- changed about 800 miles ago. I gravity bled the new master cylinder and hose setup.

Upon completion I took the car for a short drive and I immediately noticed that the disengagement point is way different now - the distance from the top of the clutch pedal to the new clutch disengagement point was huge, it felt like miles, lol. The clutch engagement point is now very close/low from the floor too, as compared to prior to the mc swap. I always thought the clutch engagement point would have changed after I put in a new clutch but it didn't, but it has changed big time after the mc swap.

Is it normal that the clutch engagement and disengagement point can change after a mc clutch change ?. Would tje braided clutch hose contribute to any of the differences ?. Thanks for reading.

I never got a direct answer but I fixed the issue by bleeding the clutch a second time by manually pushing in the pedal rather than gravity bleeding, and I adjusted the clutch rod clearance as well. Between the two adjustments it returned to normal.
