Default Clutch Master Cylinder replacement

OK, so I did the research I have the CMC from Majestic honda <$100 happy about that. I have the diy site

http://forums.s2kca.com/showthread.php?t=15696

all ready to go right. Not quite, I've inquired to a couple of unrelated mechanics that don't know my car but as a general rule of thumb say you should always replace the slave cylinder when you replace the master cylinder. Thought being normally they break around the same time. Any thoughts or topics on this. Its a $50 part and a 2 day delivery wait time, let me know what you think I'm on the fence about it.

I would not replace the slave cylinder if it is working OK... it is not considered a wear part... of course neither is the master cylinder but it appears to be a poorly sourced part that has had above average failure rate.

I think I'd replace it..just for peace of mind. Actually, from majestic, you can get the entire assembly (master, slave, reservoir, lines) for roughly 200 bucks! that means you're gonna get CLEAN fluid for a good while. My CM is goign and Im going to go that route.

i'd order the clutch master or slave cylinder from hardtopguy.com and not re-do the hard lines...

I'm all about piece of mind, I bought the slave and the delivery pipe its only an extra $60 and the whole thing will be fresh.

By the way the stealership wanted over $300 for those parts and close to $700 to install it. So doing it myself and ordering the parts I'm saving like $550 maybe I'll buy a HKS exhaust with the saved dollar bills.

That way, if there was crap in the lines/slave from the master deteriorating, now you're sure theres no probs.
